It encourages us to keep going!  

Some events cost money, and that goes directly back to the museum. 

Volunteer

Whatever your skills or experience, if you have a little time to spare (or a lot), get in touch and we can find you the perfect role. 

Become a 'Museum Friend'

The museum is run and maintained by volunteers and has charity status.  

We are fortunate to be supported by many Museum Friends* who take out an annual membership in return for newsletters and the knowledge that they are helping to keep the museum going.

£12 per year for an individual
£15 per year for a family, club or educational group

Make a Donation

The museum is run and maintained by volunteers and has charity status.  

Imagine the faces of the volunteers when they find out that someone has invested into the museum and the work they are doing.

We are currently working on the Future Musum Project which will enable the museum to operate from a new space under the Stag, next to Joules Brewery.  We have some great support and offers of help... but we always seem to be 'raising funds' and we'd like to focus on creating more events and more resources and more access to the Museum & Heritage Centre.
