Market Drayton Museum & Heritage Centre celebrates the history, people and stories of our town.
Run entirely by volunteers and supported by charitable donations, the museum cares for a growing collection of artefacts, photographs, documents and memories that help tell the story of Market Drayton and the surrounding area. From everyday objects to remarkable local stories, our collections connect the past with the present and help us understand the place we call home.
The museum is also a centre for research and discovery. We welcome enquiries from family historians, students, researchers and anyone interested in learning more about the history of the town. Our archives contain a wealth of material and is growing.
Alongside our displays, we organise exhibitions, talks, walks, workshops and community events that encourage people of all ages to explore local heritage in new and engaging ways.
Whether you are visiting for the first time, researching your family history, sharing memories, volunteering your time or simply curious about the town's past, we look forward to welcoming you.
